At Nooteboom you are not a number

‘Before I ended up at Nooteboom about 11 to 12 years ago, I always said that I did not want to work for a large company; too impersonal and too anonymous. But once I started working here, I noticed that at Nooteboom you are not just a number. I personally find that very pleasant: this way you remain maximally involved as an employee.’

‘As a welder, I am mainly active in the welding phase: my colleagues and I ensure that the final, customer-specific parts end up on the trailer. Of course I always go for a 10; You want to provide the customer with the best possible product. In any case, I always think it’s cool to see one of our trailers driving on the road. Then I think: I have contributed to that nicely.’

‘A welding robot has recently been installed here at Nooteboom. Not an unnecessary luxury, now that the number of welders will continue to decrease in the coming years. Nooteboom has also recently started using a laser cutter. I would like to delve more into this type of new technology in the coming years; very interesting what is possible. But ultimately, authentic welding by hand remains my passion. The moment I lower the hood, I’m completely in my element.’
